This is the first and only Alimiyyah course in Havering and Brentwood, and a unique opportunity for the Muslim residents to achieve a firm grounding in their religion with advanced in-depth understanding of the Islamic sources. There are currently 13 Students enrolled on to the first year of the course.

Students who pass the Level 6 Tas’heel books will automatically be entered on to the Alimiyyah course. For further information on exams please click here

Applications will be considered from external students who are aged 16 years and over. Adults are encouraged to also apply and benefit from this unique opportunity. Applicants must be able to read the Qur’aan. A character reference may also be required from their school or previous Madrasah. Please see below for application form.

Students who aspire to enroll on to the Alimiyyah course but cannot read Arabic can contact us so we can enroll them on to the appropriate foundation course.

The Alimiyyah Course is a part-time course that will be held on Saturdays in Harold Wood and on Sundays in Harold Hill, and will consist of 6 and a half hours class study a week: Saturdays: 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM & Sundays: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. There will be compulsory weekly homework, self study and memorization of Quran.

This Alimiyyah Course in Shariah and Islamic Theology is an advanced in-depth study of subjects such as Classical Arabic, Tafsir, Hadith, Fiqh, and the principles of Tafsir, Hadith and Fiqh as well as Aqeedah and Taareekh. In the first year of the program there will be an emphasis on learning Classical Arabic as throughout this course the syllabus books include those traditionally taught in seminaries of Scholarship. This is an intense course but the students will receive support and guidance from the Madrasah and the Students will surely bear the fruits of their efforts and sacrifice inshaa-Allah تعالى.

It is vital that more of our youth and family members attain a standard of education that enables them to lead the Ummah and teach the Deen of Allah تعالى. This course will inshaa-Allah تعالى bring its students closer to the route of the scholars of our Deen and we will strive to inshaa-Allah تعالى develop their progress on to undergraduate level of study. The course will inshaa-Allah تعالى also incorporate a unique module on Prophetic Medicine, Arts of Diagnosis and Medical Ethics.
