Brentwood Cultural & Youth Society (BCYS)

Since ECYS was established in Harold Hill, BCYS has become a sub branch catering specifically for the needs of the Brentwood community.

Imam Sahib is very familiar with the Brentwood area as he lives nearby and as a child prayed Jumuah Salaah and studied Quran and Islaimc Studies in Madrasah here for many years under the guidance of a well-learned Scholar and Qari, (Hafizahullaah).

Since completing his degree abroad he has lead Jumuah Salaah for the community in Brentwood for several yea and has also taught many children in the area. Monthly gatherings were arranged at different residents’ homes where there would be teachings of Quran and Hadith followed by food.

One of the Ethos of BCYS is to make provisions for services and activities under the guidance of Scholars who have Alhamdulillah devoted their lives to the study and practice of the Deen. On this basis, BCYS has continued to arrange Friday Jumuah Salaah for the local community at The Nightingale Centre, Warley Hill, which is attended by both local residents and workers from other cities. BCYS arranges Taraaweeh Salaah each Ramadan and Eidain Salaah as well as annual community gatherings open to all to attend and take part.

ECYS has now Alhamdulillah started a Weekend Madrasah in Brentwood, and will make every effort that in-shaa-Allah تعالى qualified Scholars come to the area with their blessings and pass on their learning, guidance and wisdom to the community here and the students of knowledge.

ECYS and its Members hope a time will come when Allah تعالى will re-unite the Ummah in Brentwood and together they will achieve great goals to benefit the local residents, Muslim and non-Muslim, young and old, male and female, Aameen.
