Marriage
Islam encourages marriage, which is an emphasised part of a Muslim’s life. Allah has created men and women as partners for one another, so they can marry, procreate and live together peacefully according to the teachings and commandments of Allah تعالى and His beloved Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم.
Allah تعالى has said in the Quran:
“And among his signs is that He has created for you mates from among yourselves, that you may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your hearts. Indeed in these are signs for those who reflect.” (Ar-Rum: 21)
Allah تعالى has also said in the Quran:
“And Allah تعالى has made for you from yourselves mates, and made for you out of them sons and grandchildren, and has provided for you sustenance of the best.” (An-Nahl: 72)
